Gifted and Talented Education (GATE):

The College runs a specialised GATE Program which aims to challenge students to extend their analytical and critical thinking skills via the students’ involvement in projects, activities, games, puzzles and competitions across a variety of learning areas. One of the program’s central components is a focus on nurturing the students’ independent thinking, ability to innovate and creative talents. The program covers materials beyond the standard curriculum including philosophy, robotic engineering, creative expression and scientific research. Entry to the GATE Program is by invitation only and students are identified by a variety of means including a special test and an analysis of their subject performances.
