Emmanuel Catholic College originally began as Beeliar Catholic College and started limited operation in 1999 with a small group of foundation staff and its first Year 8 students. The first two major classroom blocks were constructed on our present site and Emmanuel Catholic College was officially opened. The College name, derived from the Hebrew word Emmanuel, means “God is with us.”
The natural beauty of the campus location is enhanced by Lake Kogalup on its western boundary and the natural bushland of the Beeliar Regional Park on the southern boundary.
The College Board, together with the Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia and EIW Architects, have continued to work together to see the development of the various building stages from the initial Stages One and Two, through to Stage Six with our new Arts and English Centre completed and opened in 2018. The associated infrastructure, extensive playing fields, parking areas, gardens and grounds have all developed and evolved into the wonderful, modern day campus that is Emmanuel today.
