Music

Music Curriculum
Classroom music is offered from years 7 through 12 and is an amazing way to engage in and learn about music in Contemporary, Jazz and/or Western Art contexts. The music classroom is highly practical and allows students to explore their musical interests from performance and composition to producing and engineering music in the studio and in live settings. Students engage in a diverse range of musical styles from cultures all around the world.

Private Music Tuition
All students can elect to have tailored one-on-one instrumental, voice and/or music production lessons at Emmanuel by our professional music tutors. Students entering the Music Tutor Program will have the option of studying Music with a performance and accreditation focus (AMEB, Associated Board, ANZCA or Trinity London College of Music) or to be self-focused with a performance option.

Students will learn language, skills, techniques and knowledge specific to their instrument in increasing depth and complexity. Students will be encouraged to develop ongoing and disciplined practice, to join ensemble groups, such as Choirs, Rock Bands, Stage Band and the College Orchestra to further develop their musicianship.
